Kinitron received a grant from LDA's London Innovation back in 2004 to explore modern cost-effective telephony solutions for company switchboards, initially aimed to deliver cost savings and flexibility for small and mid-size companies.

Working closely with staff from the Department of Computing at Imperial College, Kinitron researched the market and developed a range of switchboard offerings all based on Voice over IP (VoIP) technologies and the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP). Live installations at customer sites started in September 2004 and have not ceased since then.

The current offerings include:

• Enterprise installation
• Customisation and CRM integration for corporations
• Call centre solution
• Voice recording

Our vision is 1p/min telephone calls to any landline or mobile at any time. We have made a start for all UK landlines and many international destinations.
